Setting up an email client with your domain email hosted on VG-Services.com is a similar process in any email client. Below, we use Outlook version 2007 as the email client; the navigation in your version of Outlook or other client software might be slightly different.

STEP 1 Open Outlook, and go to Tools>Account Settings (or "Accounts")

Configure Email Step 1

STEP 2 On the Mail/Email Tab, locate your existing email account and dbl-click to open. If you are not changing an existing account, but adding this email to Outlook for the first time, click "New".

STEP 3 IMPORTANT: Below, instead of "mail.mydomain.com", use glendale.directrouter.com < Just copy and paste this address at the left. (If your ISP won't let you send mail through their network using a 3rd party SMTP (sending) address, then you will need to use their SMTP server. You may need to consult their FAQ if you don't know their SMTP address.

Configure Email Step 3

STEP 4 Click the Outgoing Server tab.

Configure Email Step 4

STEP 5 You may be able to skip this step if you are not using your ISP (Internet Service Provider) SMTP server.

Configure Email Step 5

STEP 6 Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may require that you send using a secure port.  If not, you could just use "encrypted" as "none" and port number as 25.

Configure Email Step 6

STEP 7 (Final Step) Test account settings.  Or just send an email FROM your new email account TO your new email account.

Configure Email Step 7
